thanks for the warning and the help Bashar, It loads onto virtualdub, now i just gotta see if it converts and resizes nicely. And Aaron....it's not out on DVD yet nor is it in America yet, so please don't be like that

At a lost in converting a mkv video to avi

I am trying to convert a h264 encoding of code geass. The video is GG Fansub's encoding of it. if you're familiar w/ it. I have tried multiple variations trying to get it into virtualdub to convert but none has worked. I've tried the following: - just moving it in - avs DirectshowSource command - ex...

Yea, true, the only thing i can think of doing now, is dividing the episode into many clips, and qyll, I tried renaming them and it didn't work, but thanks for the help.

The video information on Adobe AFter Effects says that it's only around 2 minutes long. I think bashar is probably right although i am able to move in many of the full length videos only to have them all cut odwn to somewhere from 2-3 min. I have 1.5 Gb of DDR2 RAM though.

I used lagarith it's the same thing, it cuts off at around 2 minutes and 50 some seconds.

I'm using mjpeg and the compositions are definitely long enough. I'm not sure if after effects is reading it right. But yea, I'll take your advice and use clips. But if i was to import a piece of footage the get done adding the effects, what codec should i use to move it back into premiere and do ed...

AFter Effects Importing Problem

I am trying to import some videos to test some effects in AE out. But whenever I import the videos they are cut down to about 2 minutes and some seconds. I wanted to import the whole video which is about 22 minutes. Is there any way I can import the full length? or is it meant to cut down like that?
