Personally, for amv's, I find the Vegas is more intuitive and easier to use then premiere. On top of that, almost anything you can do in premiere you can do in vegas. Anything I can't do, I simply do it in after effects and export the AVI over to vegas. Just know, you don't edit an entire AMV in af...
