COPPA on YouTube
So... this is now a thing. What do you guys think about all of this? I know people who edit with Disney and have already been marked by YouTubes bots. A lot of people think any form of animation is for kids so even the AMV community will be affected. :uhoh: Lawyer viewpoint - https://www.youtube.com...

Re: External Hard Drive for Editing?
I've been doing a lot of research for this and I think I've narrowed it down to this type of setup https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/compare/Drobo_5D3_5-Bay_Thunderbolt_3_Enclosure_vs_Akitio_Thunder3_Quad_X_4-Bay_Thunderbolt_3_Enclosure_vs_OWC_%2F_Other_World_Computing_ThunderBay_4_Four-Bay_Thunderbolt...

Re: External Hard Drive for Editing?
I'm using a LaCie 2Big Quadra but it's only the USB 2.0 version. Of course it has Firewire 800 and so does my Mac Pro. I would need a thunderbolt adaptor for my MacBook Pro though, as it is thunderbolt 2. I have 2TB now in Raid 1 as 1TB for my project files. It just honestly seems safest. My unclip...

Re: External Hard Drive for Editing?
I've edited with compressed 4K footage from a USB 3.0 enclosure for 2.5 hard drives with a 7200RPM 2TB drive. While SSD and USB 3.1 enclosures are great, they aren't entirely necessary. The bigger bottleneck I've hit was processing power for handling compressed 4k 10-bit footage and not the transfe...

External Hard Drive for Editing?
The time has come again. My external hard drive has filled up and I'll need more space. I'll be using this with Anime footage as well as 4k Live Action footage. Even with the proxy footage I use in Premiere, the program still sorely lags. I've been looking at hard drives for a while now and I think ...

Re: Ripping blurays onto a diskdriveless iMac
Qyot27 I see the SATA-to-USB adapter cables now that you pointed it out. My bad, I've never heard or used anything like that so I glanced over it. I'm glad to hear it will work on both operating systems. It would really suck if I bought it only to not have it work. I have had issues dealing ...

Re: Ripping blurays onto a diskdriveless iMac
Lol just a note, I know most anime isn't created in a 4k format. Alongside anime, I also edit with live action footage which is now commonly released in 4k for major blockbusters. I'm not sure if I am going to edit with it but I would like the opportunity in the future so that's why I ask. The Asus ...

Ripping blurays onto a diskdriveless iMac
Currently, I am working off of a 27" iMac with no disk drive. I would like to rip my own Blu-Rays for my videos but I've never worked off of a USB based drive. I know mac ones are harder to come by in terms of selection available. So I ask if any of you have any suggestions as to which brand of driv...

Re: How To Make Flying 3D Text?
Hey Reminiscable, The Cascadathon credits look like they were just 2D text planes in After Effects with a moving camera, not 3D text. There are several 3D programs out there that can do this. I know that for the motion graphics industry likes to use Cinema 4D. C4D - https://www.maxonshop.com/us/ps/P...
