My video made it in as well, but once again did not win. That's fine though, I'm happy to just get the exposure. I've seen several more downloads, as well as an increased star rating. Sadly, it seems my next video won't be ready for Tekkoshocon, so I'll be submitting the same video again there (gott...

Yep, I was there. Had to be, since I'm staff (tech crew in main events).

They only HAVE 4 Albums. (I'm counting only the 4 studio albums: Angels, Oceanborn, Wishmaster, and Century Child) ... And none of these albums show any kind of natural progression in their musical sound. You've got Angels, which as you said, seems majorly experimental with their sound, Oceanborn, ...

The Nekocon AMV contest showing will be via a Netstream 2000 this year (as long as everything doesn't go terribly wrong). No more bad VHS master tape. As soon as I get passed the videos from the contest coordinator, I'll be verifying the quality and ensuring the best playback we can get. - SiberWolf...

Yep, that's pretty much correct. You're editing it in the DV that it's converting to (which is pretty fast). But the source files remain the same. So when you go to create a final output, you just render a final MPEG file (or whatever format you desire), which is taken directly from the AVISynth fil...

... Ran a DV500 on a dual Athlon 1800 setup for awhile. Beautiful results, except that something of that combination, along with the gig of RAM, and Premiere 6.0, caused a major memory leak. Had to shut down Premiere every once in awhile or it would reach about 1.8 gigs of RAM/swapfile in use and cr...

Hmm, well great. According to FedEx tracking, my video was scheduled to be delivered by 4:30pm today. As of 6pm, it arrived in Florida... Seems a little off to me. Gonna have to request a refund of the 2-day air shipping costs, and just hope it gets delivered tomorrow somehow.

Hmm, wow, this thread has gotten a bit crazy. Anyway, to get it a bit back on track: I may or may not be working dealer room security up there this year, so my daytime meeting possibilities could be limited. But I'll definitely try to get together with some other creators at some point. Thursday may...

Whew. For some reason I was thinking the deadline was July 21. I'm almost done, but that extra few days will be a big help for some final cleanup. Still gonna have to do the 2-day FedEx thing though. I don't trust my DSL connection enough these days to upload reliably.
