Scripts not working--am I just stupid?

So I've done the avs thing before using the guides, and everything worked okay. Then again, that was with XP and not Vista. But I downloaded the AMVapp on my new computer and I'm trying to clean up some footage pre-production, no big deal--just want a little sharpening, some deinterlacing... right? ...

Never mind... I figured it out and all is well! Since I moved the files from my hard drive on one computer to another, my drive changed from E:\ to G:\, and that had to be changed in the script of the avs and d2v files. Now everything works splendidly!

Thank you SO much for all of your help!

Thank you SO much for the advice. By trial and error, I found that the offending file was setmemorymax.avsi. When I left it out, my avisource file worked fine! My MPEG2Source files still aren't working, although the error for them has now changed-- it says VirtualDub Error Avisynth open failure: MPE...

VDub not opening avs files

I feel like a certified idiot for posting here yet again, but I don't know what to do about this one. I'm trying to load my avs script into VirtualDub and I get this error: VirtualDub Error Avisynth open failure: Avisynth: Script open failed! I wish it would say WHY it failed... I tried uninstalling...

FAT32 is kinda old, usually you'll find most people have NTFS volumes instead of FAT32 but yeah, the 4GB file limit for FAT32 filesystems is pretty well known No no, I'm NOT fat32 formatted. I'm NTFS. Yeah. Sorry, I thought I said that. No, I just got my drive last week and it's a new 500GB one, bu...

Never mind, I figured out the problem. My hard drive, while not FAT32 formatted, can't accept files bigger than 4GB. That's why it would get almost to the end, and then error out. I easily solved the problem by cutting the episode files in half. You (the almighty guidemakers) may want to add this er...

We're probably close to the same age--2 out of those 3 are also what I got! The only difference is for AUS I got "I should have known better" by Jim Diamond.
