Re: Vegas Will Not Start

BTW - I see no edit button, so sorry for the double-posting. Mods please merge when you have the time. Thing I forgot to say is on the second link it asks you to remove all .NET versions and an SQL entry. I didn't uninstall the .NET versions (only thing I think I didn't do) and I did not see anythin...

Vegas Will Not Start

Hi all. Been working on another AMV recently and have also had a bit of work coming in that I had to deal with. Through it all I ended up installing some stuff I didn't want to, and then did a system restore - backup was done with backup software (Paragon HDM - I rather Paragon to Acronis for functi...

Re: Creating a bill that would make what we do legal.

This would be very good. I have 2 vids on YouTube that were removed for infringement and I've made numerous attempts to contact the authors of the anime or the station with the license and have had absolutely no reply for years - and I've tried sending multiple times. If this was up then we all woul...

Re: Starting Up?

Or you could do what I did and spend 2 years editing but scrapping each project until you come up with something you genuinely like. And then just barely make it to the semi-finals of the Viewer Choice awards with that first video ._______________. And I started with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, but idk...

Re: Starting Up?

Alright, I am not a quality fag nor do I really care about tech shit. But this is just dumb. Converting to and editing with a lossy codec is just dumb. Handbrake probably could deal with lossless codecs as well, but lets face it, 90% of people will be trying to edit with a lossy codec. Then they'll...

Re: Starting Up?

A friend of mine did this in WMM2.0 - WMM can be used to do AMV's but it will take some time IMO. I've personally never used it. For converting your video files there are a lot of free things that you can use. http://handbrake.fr/ http://www.fairusewizard.com/ http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD2AVI ...

Re: AMVs that make you want to give up

Lots of encouragement that I think you should listen to. There are lots of videos out there - I have about 8Gb of OLD ones backed up on discs somewhere - but personally I think that each video speaks to at least one person. Then again some videos just don't speak at all. Anyways - looking at one of ...

Re: So You Want To Be A *GOOD* Anime Music Video Editor?

I'm still reading - but it looks good so far. Mostly my motivation is the like - and hopefully after getting good at doing AMV's I can take the knowledge and share.

Re: We've seen your rig; now let's see your timeline.

Hi all. New-ish to the site. This is the timeline for the last AMV that I did. It's my first using Vegas - was using Premiere 6.5 on XP previously. Purchased Vegas on recommendation from a friend and after seeing the way it handles slow/speed up on the timeline I was impressed. Hopefully I can get a...
