You might be able to pull Full Metal ALchemist or even... and this is a long shot but Peace maker Kurogane, again since it is so scenery heavy but the main character's from each of those still have that untouchable quality.

I know nothing of punk I just know I like the style of those songs. The song you recomended to me is a good song... but not quite right for what I'm going for... maybe if I tweak the concept a bit

I guess the 2 bands that come to mind for type of song I'm looking for would be Yellowcard and Dashboard Confessional(that is the same sound to the music fast and upbeat)
