Thanks Kariudo. I disabled 8X AGP and turned off Fast Writes. I also uninstalled the 7.2 Catalyst drivers and installed Omega drivers based on the 5.6 version of Catalyst. Everything works fine now :D

Overheating is definitely one thing it is not doing. The card has it's own fan and heatsink, and I've got two extra case fans blowing on it for safe measure. (I've also touched the heatsink while it was running and it was really cool). I've also tried disconnecting my extra harddrives to see if it m...

.JPEG VS .BMP

hey I have this friend and we are arguing over what has better quality, a Jpeg or Bmp picture. I'm saying that it's .bmp because it retains the color information of every pixel, but he insists that it's jpeg becuase all internet pictures are in .jpeg format becuase they have more 'detail'. This frie...

Well, I checked the memory and that wasn't the problem. And the power supply is fairly new and has a total output of 450W so that shouldn't be an issue either. Anyways, I tried rewiring my sound system and that seems to have fixed the problem for now. Thanks for all your help guys. :D

hmm... you might be right oldrench! There might not be enough power going to the power supply. Cause as I said before, this usually happens when I'm playing music and stuff, and it happens that I have 8 speakers + 1 subwoofer as my computer sound system. Not to mention a 19 inch CRT being power off ...

The computer is using standard DDR ram running at 400Mhz. It's an Intel processor and he's using a crappy 64MB ATI video card. He's running Windows XP Home and it's service pack 1a, because we just reformated his hard drive and reinstalled the OS. If it helps to know, it's an MDG computer :? It ran ...
