Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex & DGIndex
I recently borrowed a 3 disk set of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex (TV Collection). The only audio stream is Japanese and it has English and Chinese subtitles. Practically all of the text, with the exception of the title is all written in Japanese. I got the VOB files w/o a hitch, but in DGI...

Thanks for the links, guys!! I didn't have time to go too in depth, but from what I've seen from both sites (Digital Anarchy and Ayato), this is more than enough to get me started. It would be nice (faster) to just buy something pre-rendered, but that would take away the fun of creating and manipula...

time lapse clouds background
I've seen them in a few vids and MADS (can't remember any in particular right now), but basically, it looks like an anime version of time lapsed clouds. A literal description would be like someone took a video camera, pointed it at the sky, and recorded the cloud movements for say 5 hours or so, and...

I have to agree w/ Lantis... I cut my first vid that was uploaded to the org. on avid express pro (v.4.1.1 I think). It absolutely would not import anything other than 1) uncompressed RGB-32/24 -> HUGE file sizes and VERY slow import times. 2) QT files -> uncompressed -> again HUGE file sizes & marg...

sorry about the bump... one last thing, you may or may not already be aware of. If you get a Dell, Hp, etc. and are not going to buy your RAM from the company you purchaced the PC from, make sure that the RAM you get is compatable with your system, or you'r going to spend more time RMAing than editi...

I'd have to agree w/ everybody else. 512 in dual channel mode should be able to run in regular mode (depending on your MoBo) if you need the extra headroom for RAM. If you decide to take that option, there may be a slight performance loss b/c the ram is running in single channel mode instead of dual...

Hey, Undo!! I have to point out that Snoop's 'debut' was actually on the sound track for the movie 'Deep Cover' w/ the then 'Larry' (Morpheus) Fishburn and Jeff Goldblum. Thus the phrases "1-8-7 on a undercover cop" and "Beeeoch!!" were born; Sidenote-> Dr. Dre also produced that soundtrack as well....

Sorry for the delayed resposne.... I was experimenting with Avid free DV and it seems like it absolutly hates everything except quicktime, uncompressed RGB, or some incarnation of DV. So, once I got my avs into VirtualDubMod, I saved the clip using Lagarith (YV12), opened that avi in Vegas 5 (which ...

Premiere Pro 1.5 and YV12 (Lagarith/HuffYUV) vs. RGB24/32
I read through the guides and googled around and I still don't have a clear picture. I understand these facts... a) DVD's native color space is YV12 b) The recommended codecs to preserve YV12 info, i.e. lossless, (after ripping and aviSynth) is Lagarith or HuffYUV c) An alternative to YV12 (for comp...
