What the hell are you talking about? The only more metal way to die is to have your brains made into soup and teeth made into a necklace.
True, true. It was fragments of Dead's skull that were made into a necklace, though.

Dimebag Darrell :(

I just heard about this not too long ago. I wasn't too big a fan of Pantera, but they had some decent stuff. Sucks that he had to go out that way, though.

Best metal album released this year:

Wintersun - S/t

It's Jari Maenpaa's (the guy who did vocals/guitar in Ensiferum and recently left them) new band. Much better than 'Iron', IMO. So if you haven't heard it yet, make some time to do so, you won't be disappointed.

'Theli' is a definite must. The earlier Therion stuff is completely different, being death metal. If you're a fan of death metal, check out 'Beyond Sanctorum', probably my favorite Therion album.

Sun Caged, Spiral Architect, Fates Warning, Pain of Salvation, and plenty of others I can't remember off the top of my head.

I'm hoping, I'm really hoping, that this is just a hoax. Blabbermouth is just as much tabloid as it is legitimate metal news source. I don't exactly know what to think at this point, but I would definitely like to see some kind of confirmation. I did however, come across this: Legendary video direct...

Truly a great loss, and a sad day for metal.
