I've never tried using AE or Premiere on Linux, but I can get Photoshop 7 and CS to work under Wine. I'm an Arch Linux user, not Ubuntu though. So your results may vary.

When I said they weren't in production anymore, I meant the All in Wonder series, Not your model. ATI stopped making them last year. I can't find them in any store anymore.

Capture Cards

So, I'm planning on buying a capture card. I need some game footage, and I was wondering if anyone could reccommend a good card for $150 or less.

The videos are going to be gigs big. If you're getting a few gigs per clip. that's normal. Try the Indeo codec. It doesn't look that bad, and it'll edit fine.

Oh okayt, that's what I originaly thought, but I didn't see it say OEM anywhere. ^^;; Most OEM software never say OEM. Sometimes they tack on Standard, Basic, Essential or Starter to the name to stripped down OEM stuff. But other than the Vegas Movie Studio version, I know only of the 'full' one--O...
