Re: The Otakon 2009 thread

Nah, don't even worry about it! I got you beat, I've failed three years straight! (And this last one I entered in a category that no one else ever does, so I'm forced to assume I was the only one cut) If nothing else, I've learned what a horrible editor I truly am. :D ...perhaps it's time to throw i...

Re: Otakon 2009 AMV Contest Rules

I admit I kind of worry a bit that his "too many good ones" statement is just a kind way of letting down those of us who don't get in. (Oh? I didn't get in? Well, there were some really good ones, so that's not so bad!) But on the other hand, I also agree that the Otakon AMV contest is one the highl...

Re: Otakon 2009 AMV Contest Rules

I can tell right now from watching that we're going to have to cut quite a few decent videos this year. That's just how THE GAME (you just lost it) is played, unfortunately. Well, I feel optimistic, don't you guys? But you know how that goes. On the plus side, it should mean that the contest itself...

Re: Otakon 2009 AMV Contest Rules

Uploading now! I'm so glad I decided to check the forums! I'd been keeping an eye on the site and hadn't seen any news and then checked here to realize I only had a week left! Good thing it was pretty much done! Well *crosses fingers* third time's the charm, eh? At least I went for one of the least-...

Importing AVI's

Normally I rip my footage, but lacking DVD's for a certain set of episodes (They aren't out yet) I downloaded some raws. They'll play okay in VLC Media Player, but I can't import them into Premiere...or ANY video editing program for that matter. The error message I get is "file uses an unsupported c...
