Re: ACen 2009 AMV Contest Winners *Official Thread*
Yay, thanks for the list! I foresee much downloading ahead for me...and I'll just have to be patient until some of the videos I liked make it onto the net, I guess!

Re: ACen 2009 AMV Contest Winners *Official Thread*

I've got a friend visiting for the weekend, and I'd love to show her some of the cool videos I saw at the con, if I could only find them.... http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1233885#p1233885 Huzzah! I made an Inuyasha Trailer done to the 'Lord of the rings: Fellowship of the Rings' parody. (first one I ever made) I saw it, and had a good chuckle! So is that list of finalists and cut videos forthcoming any time soon? I've got a friend visiting for the weekend, and I'd love to show her some of t...

Re: Anime Central 2009 AMV Contest Rules & Submission Guidelines
I was working staff, so I didn't manage to make it to the showing of the finalists' videos. However, I did get to see the non-finalist videos, and I thought they were great! So for those who didn't make it into the finals--pat yourselves on the back, because this congoer enjoyed your work very much....

A question... There was a video in the "cut" showing with a song by someone that a friend of mine identified as Dar Williams. I'm afraid I didn't recognize the anime. However, I don't see any Dar Williams songs on this list! Was my friend wrong about the singer, or were there videos in the showing t...

Re: Here's an odd question, but.....
There's a great, obscure song called "Dunsinane Blues" sung by Cleo Laine on her album "Wordsongs." It's a funny jazz version of the last battle scene. Don't know how easy it will be to find, though.

AMVs That Inspired You to See the Show?
I was just thinking that there are quite a few shows/movies I have been inspired to watch after getting a "taste" through an amv. Specifically... - Pyro Wolf's (Cyber Moon's) "Moonlight Shadow" made me watch Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I'm not generally into vampires, so I don't know if I would hav...

but a side note......its not bad to keep things interlaced. For Ah! My Goddess, I could tell it was originally a flm source as most of the frames were ok. In what I'm getting, most of the frames are not okay. In the particular segment that I'd really like to use, it's about three bad-looking frames...

McKeed, thanks for the tip. That sucks, though. Do you know whether all AnimEigo discs have the same problem? If so (and if we can't find a fix for it), I'm going to have to re-think several projects I had in mind. I tried playing with the Decimate numbers in the avisynth script, but all I managed t...

Decomb is not a deinterlacer - it's an Inverse Telecine plugin. It can also do plain old deinterlacing (via FieldDeinterlace) but Telecide+Decimate is IVTC, not plain old deinterlacing. Whoops, sorry. I tend to use the terms interchangeably, but I guess they're not really the same. So if I'm runnin...
