Re: Need anime with surreal or abstract imagery
Serial Experiments Lain was full of bizarre imagery, though a lot of it made sense in context. Likewise, Boogiepop Phantom has some rather surreal imagery in it apparently due to the fantasies and psychoses of some of the characters being brought to life. (In one episode, for instance, they blanket ...

Re: Sad/Abused girl
Aishiteru Ze Baby was full of this kind of character; it seemed to deal with just about every kind of non-sexual abuse and neglect there is. Among the abused and neglected: Kokoro, whose father remarried after her mother died and left her to fend for herself. She gets to live in a luxurious apartmen...

Re: Looking For New Ideas
Well, I haven't seen any portfolio of your works so far, so I don't know what all you've used. If you run a search on here for various songs for various bands, though, you can see what hasn't been done yet by what comes up blank. For just one example, a song I've always figured would fit something (...

Re: Songs about people making choices
The most obvious one would be The Lovin' Spoonful's "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind?" Somewhat subtler is Glenn Yarbrough's "Baby, The Rain Must Fall" in which he sings of going where his heart leads regardless of the uncertainties ahead. "Solitary Man" by Neil Diamond is the song of a man s...

Re: Songs about masochism
Maybe "I Hate Myself For Loving You" by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts? Of course, that's more mental masochism than the physical kind. There's a pretty funny masochistic emo parody of the Divinyls' "I Touch Myself" called " I Cut Myself " on YouTube. John Cougar Mellencamp's "Hurts So Good" comes to m...

Re: Need a scene
Ayashi No Ceres, perhaps? I think it was episode 16 in which Aya's cousin Miori takes a suicide dive. It doesn't actually show her hitting the pavement, though; just a shot of people cleaning up the blood, and then a flashback to the story of how this happened that has Miori flying out among the sky...

Re: Beach and fun sunny scenes!!! needed help please?
Onegai Teacher and Onegai Twins each had some sunny outings at the beach, as I recall. Love Hina also had an episode featuring some hilariously disastrous theater productions down at some kind of beach house, though I seem to recall most of that was done at night.

Re: a-Ha's The Living Daylights
The noirish drama Kurenai comes to mind.
Also, the philosophical weirdness of Boogiepop Phantom and the techno-psycho-drama of Serial Experiments Lain might fit the general theme of the song. I wouldn't recommend doing more than one of these at a time to it, though.

Re: What's a good Sammy Hagar song to use in a Sailor Moon AMV?
Not the kind of guy whose music I'd usually think to put in a Sailor Moon AMV, but "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy" would probably fit the bill.
