After Effects is expanding the clip in the timeline?! X_X

So...since the Final Fantasy VIII ending movies have that stupid border on top of them I needed to rip them off at a higher resolution then resized and saved them in Afer Effects (655x355 to 500x271) Only problem is...now every time I import those files into AE it expands them to the same width it w...

Adobe After Effects is my personal favorite...even though I'm still learning it lol but yeah...theres just so much you can do with it...and it makes life so much easier ^^ i have Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 too but I dont really like it because it freezes A LOT for me and my computer is XP 111GB at 1GB r...

Is there a way to edit Adobe Premiere Pro's project settings after you already made the new project file primarily? particularly the frame size...since I just re-ripped all of my Final Fantasy videos and changed the resolution (from 320x224 to 500x271) and i have an unfinished amv that i am working ...

mmm...what do you mean by that?

Though...when I set the matt to Video 2 (which is empty) you can see the black bar normally on the video...but you cant see through it. But i want the outside to be inverted and the inside of the bar to show how the video primarily looks like.

yup...solid black and white I did that in Photoshop.

and yes everything--the picture, settings...its all right.

And if you wanna know, these are the settings for the track matte:

Matt: video 1
Composite...: matt luma
and its not reversed...

obviously only the bar is supposed to go up and down...but it takes the image too X_X do you know why? i followed your directions exactly

How do you make this effect...[In Premiere Pro]

I watched the Final Fantasy VIII-- Noise music video by Anton Kleshchyov just now and wow...another one of those amazing effect-filled videos, and especially to my most favorite video game XD I'm definitely impressed...and a bit jealous lol [okay I lied VERY] But there's one thing really bugging me....
