You're right. I'm not aware of of a WMV10 codec out there ... But I found MS' Windows Media Player to be weird sometimes. :? Usually though, I make it a habit to upgrade 'everything' to the newest version. You'd never know what kind of bugs (or security holes in the case of most MS apps) have been p...

Hello Ch@nTy, Make sure your friend has the latest version of whatever codec you used to compress your video. If you used Windows Media, make sure the newest version of Windows Media installed, which is 10. If you used DivX, try DivX 5.2.1. For XviD, try ffdshow. If your friend is using a Mac, try u...

There is also FFusion: http://aldorandenet.free.fr/codecs/ which will allow you to play XviD files in QuickTime. 3ivx can do this, too: http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html . I also heard the latest version of the DivX 5.21 codec can do this too but I haven't checked. If you prefer others aside f...

I personally use Smart FTP on a PC (see Corran's post) or Cyberduck on a Mac. They both work pretty decent.

Updated iMovie tutorial

I updated my iMovie tutorial a couple days ago. You can download the zip version here: http://www.saphiria.net/h/amv/iMovieTutorial.12012004.zip Or you can view it online here: http://www.saphiria.net/h/amv/tutorial.html I basically redone the first page and corrected some minor stuff. That's pretty...

Most video editing programs have an effect called "Letterbox". You can use that to coverup the subs.

You can use DiVA (http://diva.3ivx.com) to convert the VOB files to something usable in iMovie or Final Cut. If you're using iMovie I would use the DVCPRO codec. If using Final Cut, I would use Apple Pixlet, Apple Animation, PNG, TIFF, Uncompressed 4:2:2, or Component (although, I use PhotoJPEG on t...

Some people have a vary biased view when it comes to the Real Video format but most of the time, it all boils down to the software.

Personally, I would use DivX or XviD. Those work like wonders. Hope that makes sense.

That's pretty sweet. I wish I had that. :( /me beats 800 Mhz G4 iBook with a muddy stick As with re-ripping the VOB files, no that's not needed. Unless you have the MPEG-2 component installed, you would have to convert the VOBs to QuickTime (using a lossless codec, like Apple Pixlet or Apple Animati...

You could always use a PCI or FireWire video-capture device and stream the video from the GameCube game into your computer. It's not a direct copy since you are using analog cables to do it but it works for the most part. Hope that helps.
