I ripped my dvd and encoded my footage perfectly. I now have mp4s that play just fine in quicktime.
However, FinalCut Pro is not recognizing them when I try to import them. Has anyone had this problem before and know of a solution?

I'm making a banner using photoshop, but I'm having difficulties getting the size down. The only way I can get it under 24k is if I drop the quality to 2, and at that point it's not worth submitting at all.
