Stuck w/ source that's mostly progressive & part interla
I'm trying to begin a new project but my source footage, which I thought was entirely progressive, has ended up being about 3/4 progressive (about the first hour and 15 minutes of the film) and about 1/4 interlaced (the last twenty minutes of the film). How do I edit footage like this? When I origin...

If I remember correctly, Windows Media Player 9 / 10 has some issues with ffdshow. What you can do is to find out what codecs you have already installed that ffdshow is also trying to support and disable ffdshow's handling of those codecs so it doesn't clash with other programs. If you installed th...

I'm using it in Premiere Pro 2 and it works ok but I am noticing that Pro 2 renders AVS files much uglier than Pro 1.5. I've tried working with different settings but haven't been able to get AVS files rendering as nice as they did in 1.5. They keep having a smeared look as each frame blends into th...

My comp holds up pretty well when editing so that I don't notice much difference when windowblinds is turned off. I'll only unload it if i'm doing something really cpu-intensive.gods_pawn wrote:basketkase543 wrote:
i just hope you dont use window blinds through out your editing process... that kills speed.

There is one minor issue however. I'm not able to play huffyuv encoded avi's on windows media player anymore. When I try to open up the avi, an ffdshow icon shows up in my taskbar and windows media player closes. I'm not sure how my settings were before so do you have any suggestions on the best wa...

hmm... this is a really odd problem. try this... 1) reinstall ffdshow if you haven't already (or reinstall the amvapp).* 2) reboot into safe mode 3) uninstall the amvapp and all versions of premeire 4) if there are any other remains of avisynth, uninstall those also. 5) reboot and install premiere ...
