I will have to discuss this with the other staff members. Last year we showed it on a DVD but I was not on staff back then. I believe we may have a projector at the convention so I will look into the possibility of using that with a computer instead of the DVD

A standard NTSC framerate would be preferable as this may be shown on a big screen television.

Since we output the final con copy of all the vids to a DVD I think submitting it in MPEG2 would be perfect. HuffYUV would work just fine as well.

No, applicants are not required to attend the convention. However, there are prize tickets given out to the winners of the contests which are only redemable at the prize table during the convention.
