Re: [Onegai Studios] Divide by Zero

Don't want to be a self-bumper, but last night a caring viewer shared with me the fact that I botched up the aspect ratio on the video pretty badly on the final export. Whoops! It's a sobering reminder that everybody makes mistakes no matter how experienced they think they might be. The unexpected u...

[Onegai Studios] Divide by Zero

It's been awhile (6 years) since I made a "proper AMV", but just didn't want to just let this concept go (I'm sure everybody has had ideas like that). To put the time period in perspective, 2005 was the year that YouTube was founded (whoa).

Anyways, enjoy!

Ok, here's the deal. Seems to be a little confusion.... This year, I worked with Techwood Con, running the very last minute video art track. We did have events, including an iron chef style editing contest, a panel, and lots of AMV's shown. Now... because I pretty much picked up all my planning and ...

Momocon 2005 (Panels Available)

Momocon 2005 Momocon is running a video art track, and it wants YOU to participate! We're not running a contest, but we're trying to bring together some excellent AMV talent and put together one of the best tracks of all time. They've given us a MOVIE THEATRE for both days of the convention, and I'...

Shouldn't there also be sections for coming out of retirement? I'm sure creators have tried to make comebacks before. Sometimes, you'll do anything to stay in the spotlight and keep the drama going for just a little bit longer.

I say incorporate your bumpers or titles into the video itself, if possible. Instead of cutting off a 30-60 second lead-in to a song, use it as your intro. I thought Taskmasta's Anxiety pulled this off well, although I didn't much care for his outro. I've used this technique before also in The Defin...

Some Ships - Short Film About the Pain of Love

Using a lesser known, but very strong Nine Inch Nails song.

It's also one of the only Kenshin OAV videos without spoilers.

I feel like anyone who has ever been in a similar position will connect immediately with the video.

Techwood Con - Atlanta AMV Creators Wanted for Panel

Techwood Con (strange name, good con) is a one day convention opening this year on April 10th. It's being run on a shoestring, because the location won't actually allow the charging of admission. (We've reserved the Georgia Tech Student center). This is its first year, but it will likely move out to...
