I haven't seen most of these mentioned, but I didn't cry at grave of the fireflies, either... I did cry at Full Metal Alcehmist, though. (a series counts, right?)

I would have to say that my favorite character is Hughes. He's comical to the point of idiocy, but at the same time he can get anything done and can solve any problem. He's also one of the most diverse characters, and even though he knows no alchemy, he's quite formidible in combat. I also like Scar...
