Heh... all of my mom's side of the family are musicians. Grandpa & grandma & mom sing, Uncle Jim plays guitar (20+ years), and Mike plays guitar/bass. My dad played trombone back in the day, and his sister played clarinet, as my brother and I did, for a time. He doesn't play anything anymore. 2nd ol...

Metallica, Megadeth, Green Day, Offspring, Sponge, 311, Stone Temple Pilots, Candlebox, Gin Blossoms. That shit was the soundtrack of my childhood. Not that I'm quite a ...

But I really can't tolerate the guttural sreaming nonsense that seems to be ...

Well, I'm a 90s kid... this is the stuff I grew up with, which is, IMO, a lot better compared to the rampant crap kids are stuck with today. So, it's old-school by my definition.

Anyway, I'll admit I'm not a true jazz fanatic, but I love to play it.

There's gotta be something else!

So, I see a lot of metal & nu-metal & j-pop and such going on around here, but where's the classic stuff? All you who be in the old school, speak up! What about the Offspring? Sponge? Alice in Chains? Candlebox? Rage Against the Machine? Yes? Led Zeppelin? Rush? Soundgarden? Stone Temple Pilots? Van...
