It depends, personally I like Hikaru no go and One piece as manga.
But things that involve alot of fighting, or action is best in anime.
I prefer One piece as a manga mainly because I don't like what fox did to it.

I watched the first movie. My brother said they were the same characters, but I wouldn't know, I never bothered to remember the names. I'm planning on watching it agian. So far the movie doesn't really seem to have much to do the anime.
