AMV channels

Are there any good (read: ACTIVE) IRC channels devoted to AMVs, and the creation of AMVs specifically?

If so, please give me the server and channel name.

Thanks.

Shattering

I know how to do shattering. I have several tutorials and can do quite a bit. What I'm wondering is what people think of the shatter effect in a video? Is it considered cheesy or only when its done to an exaggerated degree? I hope to include this effect once in a video but I'm wondering if its a con...

I believe I've had this problem before. I exported a finished video of mine and then tried to play it immediately without compressing it using Divx or another compressor. It refused to play smoothly and stop and go and sometimes jump. Of course that was in AVI and not DVAVI, but still, I would recco...

My External is being a jerk

Okay, well. I have a LACIE external hard drive, 160 GB and when I first plugged it in, it was registered as the E drive. Adobe Premiere saw it as such, and now every single reference file is listed under E, but the HDD is no drive F. I could go through and correct this little error file by file, but...

Premiere video...sort of

I'd like to announce to my first downloadable video! Ops would be appreciated but its okay if you just watch it! It's to various E Nomine songs (a medley) where each song segment fits the video it goes with. Please check it out. http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=98046 T...

Thanks everyone for the help, I fixed it.

It turns out that it was huge file, and my computer had trouble crunching through it. I just didn't bother to preview it before I compressed everything with virtual dub and it worked out perfectly.

Thanks for all your help and advice.

Thanks, I actually got it to work out (apparently the connection to my HDD was too slow and the temp folder filled up, so I saved it to local HDD). But now that its complete, it will not play. I've tried uncompressed audio and video with no codecs at all. But yet, when it tries to play it plays mayb...

Video exporting problem

I've finished an approximately two minute long video, and now I'm trying to export it. I'm using the same settings I used when I exported another video that was more complex just fine, however, now after its already 1/2 done, it tells me that the disk is full. This can't be right, because I'm using ...
