Cannibal Corpse or Death

Black metal:
Burzum or Mayhem

Thrash metal:
Sodom or Sadus

Prog metal:
Opeth or Queensryche


Those are interchangable, depending on my moods.

If you'll read, you'll note that I said that there are always exceptions. I rather like Opeth and Dark Tranquility. I'm generalizing the standard for what the "death metal" sound is. I've talked to somebody who was on Made. He told me directly that it was scripted. He actually told MTV that if he had to follow a script, he wouldn't be working with them..they let him do his own thing.
