Silent Hill 3 (PS2) 3ds files help

my ususal technique for ripping cut sequences will not work on Silent Hill 3. The footage will only come out as a 3ds file 889MB in size but i cannot open or convert this. There is a prog called discreet 3ds Max that should open this file but I do not own it. Does anyone know another app that suppor...
