Need help with Eva episodes/movie resizing

Hello people! I plan to make an AMV using both the Eva TV series and the EOE, but it seems that the TV episodes are in letterbox format while the movie is widescreen. Is there any place where I can get the TV series in widescreen, or the movie in letterbox? If not, please give me some suggestions. T...

Do you have to be physically present at anime conventions...

to take part in the music video competitions? Just curious here. Because I have neither the time nor the means to get to any anime conventions but I would love to showcase or AMVs or participate in competitions. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Thanks for the prompt response. What do you mean by "letterbox"? And where can I get a program that has all those filters? Virtualdub doesn't seem to have them.

Resizing Widescreen DVDs?

Hello everyone. I'm trying to make an AMV using the Cowboy Bebop series. The trouble is, I really want to use some scenes from the Cowboy Bebop Movie (knocking on heaven's door) but the movie is in widescreen format whereas the 30-odd TV episode aren't. I've tried resizing the movie using Virtualdub...

Ripped DVD files too dark...

Hello people! I ripped a couple of Cowboy Bebop DVDs using Smartripper but the video sequences seem a lot darker than the originals when viewed using premiere. Does anyone know how to fix this problem (if it is a problem at all)? I would really appreciate some here here. If this question has probabl...

I had the exact same problem as you a while ago. For me, the problem was with the DVD2AVI program itself. Check and see if you have version DVD2AVI 1.76. Premiere will not work with .d2v files made with version 1.77 or later. If the version that you're using is 1.76, try remaking your DVD2AVI projec...

Choosing and collecting clips

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but how do you guys (the experienced editors) go about choosing and collecting clips for your AMVs? Do you guys take *all* the clips that you would possibly use for an AMV and then mix and match from there onwards, or do you guys usually do it another way? ...

Oh crap. I use ATI's DVD player to watch DVDs. I think it has by far the best video quality. Do you have any alternatives to suggest?

I too have a legitimate copy of Premiere. I got a really good deal on it though. My copy of v6. came bundled with my ADS Pyro DV. It even came with the printed manual. I got it all for around $200. Do you have an ATI card by any chance? Some of their latest drivers include screwy MPEG2 codecs that ...
