Well I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna re-size to 640 on this one. I would be willing to try out 720 but I have plans on experimenting with other programs I'm not familiar with and that alone is going to require a much bigger effort.
Thanks for the advice guys!

Re: Resize Question (720 vs 640 x 480)
I suppose theoretical questions get theoretical answers.
I certainly like to make things easier but I think I was mostly interested in preserving as much quality as possible, even if this did complicate things a bit.

Re: Resize Question (720 vs 640 x 480)
Thanks Phantasmagoriat (that is a long name) for the info (and nice blog post by the way)! I understand that there needs to be a flag set for playback but to re-ask one of my previous questions: what if I wanted to send in a lossless copy to a convention? I'm not able to set the flag with these type...

Re: Ut Video x64 vs x86
Thanks for the replies! You guys are certainly more dedicated to this stuff than I am! From the info I've gathered from this thread I do plan to upgrade all my components from the AMVapp but I think I will stick to 32bit versions to keep things simple. Just getting AVISynth64 seems to be more of a h...

Ut Video x64 vs x86
Hello! I just set up a new computer with Windows 7(64bit) and I was installing the AMVapp and it says to install the x86 version and then the x64 version of the Ut Video Codec. But I was wondering if I even need the 64bit version as neither Premiere CS4 nor VirtualDub found it. I noticed that there ...

Resize Question (720 vs 640 x 480)
I'm about to start an AMV with footage that is 720 x 480. I was wondering if I should edit it in 720 x 480 with it's original DVD pixel aspect ratio or if I should resize it to square pixels at 640 x 480. Will there be a difference in quality between the two? I'm assuming that there will be a size d...

I know I'm cutting it close, but I've sent mine in. Also, I forgot to add a subject line in the email just so you know (in case it seems sketchy ).

Little Cream Soda (Shown at Fanime)
Made this for Fanime 2012 as a way to get back into editing. Please don't watch it in preview, I don't think it will do it justice. Also, please listen to it very loudly, I think that WILL do it justice.
I got Judges Second Place in action so woot!

Re: Round 1 - Results [Updated with Group G Results]
Congrats to those who made it in group G! I'm a little bummed I won't be able to continue in the contest but it was fun while it lasted.
And thanks Yue for the comments, it's a confidence booster to know that someone enjoyed it!

Is this true?MimS wrote:New deadline again : June 17th !
I made an AMV specifically for this and then totally forgot about the deadline until now. I just looked up the local time in France and as of this post it is Monday, June 11th, 12:10 AM Woops.
