I've read all of the Naruto that has come out already only cause I was grounded and I got really bored. Personally, my favorite characters right now are Shikamaru, Temari and Hinata. Sure, Gaara, Sasuke and Naruto are cool and all, but I find Shikamaru, Temari and Hinata's personalities interesting....

Naruto is cool. You should read it before you watch it though, they cut out parts from the book that's funny. I have a question for you people.
