Re: I need some help in compressing the file!
I never understand why the people don't take a look at the guides section of the .org. For example there is a guide for using iMovie for making AMV's . It covers compression too. Quoted for Truth. That's why I just stopped helping people on these forums because it seems I am merely repeating myself...

I need some help in compressing the file!
Hullo. I suppose most of you aren't very mac savvy, but if help can be found I am willing to take it. I'm submitting one of my AMV's to a con this year but the filesize is nothing short of MASSIVE. I'm going on a camping trip soon and the deadline is comming up. I need help on compressing the video ...

well, my second AMV was made with a linkin park song(numb) , and I agree that linkin park is too much overused, and because of that not too much people see AMVs with a linkin park song cause a lot of them sucks :( , but others nope :D (I have seen a couple of good linkin park AMVs) that is m...

i've only had a few hours in FCP so far and i can see what is causing the problem... i have yet to figure out how to disable the "ripple" edit it does. I could scan through the book i'm using to figure it out, but i'm sure someone with more experience with FCP might be able to help better then i ca...

It's been a while since I used that thing... what version are you using? I'll probably might be able to help you. (maybe) Well as I previously stated, I have all my footage down now, and most of it is synchronized to the song I'm using. The only issue is that there are a couple scenes that cut to a...

i'm in the process of learning it... what exactly is the problem with the fine tuning? Pwolf TIming. Most of my footage is synchronized with the song but certain parts show too much or too little of a scene that I *don't* want. I try slowing it down but then the entire duration gets stretched and t...

Anyone Here Familiar With Final Cut Pro?
I am one of those silly mac users. Anyone else using final cut pro, if so ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH IT? I'm basically having a hernia over here trying to edit my video because I'm so confused. I have all the BASE footage down, it's the fine tuning it part that is killing me slowly from the inside out. T...

Are Linkin Park AMV's jaded?
I don't know if I'm really out of place saying this, being the obligatory newbie and such, but BASCIALLY, if I download AMV's from limewire, at least 30% of the AMV's are Linkin Park, the other 10% Evanescence, the rest are a cool blend of band's I've never heard of and other popular artists. I hate...

Editing time also is heavily skewed towards one's experience in making AMVs, which generally boils down to how good you are with your chosen editing program. I have spent six hours creating an effect that I can now duplicate in under 10 minutes, just because I didn't know what the hell I was doing ...
