She actually wants to do country music, and did country music in her hometown until she was signed. The people who signed her were like "yeah... country isn't gonna do it, so what we're gonna do is make you punkish, you can do that for a few years, get super successful and well liked, and then segue...

You only get ripped off if you pay the same price you would for "legit" licensed DVDs, but get Hong Kong DVDs. If you get Hong Kong DVDs for SUPER CHEAP ($8 US/disc used to be pretty standard), then it's not getting "ripped off". You get what you pay for. If you have a huge moral dilemma with someth...

fps: Stands for "Frames Per Second". There are 30 frames in a second when reading timecode, however, fps is also a variable in exporting video. The common fps is 29.97 (30), but 15 fps is usually used in production of video games. The informal rule is to never go below 15 fps, but for AMVs, anythin...

I only know OF William Gibson, really. It wasn't until, um, three days ago that I picked up a Gibson book. Currently reading Pattern Recognition, which is less cyberpunk, perhaps, but still good.

Not just anime. Literature too. William Gibson's books have been called cyberpunk. The quintessential "cyberpunk" books are Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson and Neuromancer by William Gibson.

Well, there ARE two seperate categories, so why dwell on it? One more person gets to be recognized by their peers for making an AMV that people enjoyed. Is that a problem? I don't think it is. Let's stop debating that which we cannot change (the existence of the category), and return to discussing t...
