For those of us unable to see the concert live, good footage can be found on the official English site http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk/media/dldvideo.php
The first one, Live from Iceland, is pretty much identical to what I saw.
The music videos rock too.

Sigur Ros LIVE
Has anyone else seen Sigur Ros live? I went to see them in Austin, and other than the sound engineers cranking up the volume way way too much for a concert hall, they rocked. The visuals were OK, but watching Jonsi (lead singer) and the drummer perform was amazing. YOUSOOOOOUUUUUU YOUUUUSAAAAIIIIIII...

Email from a linguistics major friend of mine reveals the answer: "That track is in Persian (Farsi, not Dari), and I have the original track with the artist on my parents' computer in Texas, but unfortunately I don't know it off the top of my head. Terribly sorry. And yeah, it is totally addictive a...

what language is this?
I have a fun techno mp3, but I don't recognize what language it is in.

My hypothesis is that it is Farsi (sounds kinda Indo-European).
Any linguistics gurus or native speakers here that could clue me in?

Koyaanisqatsi
Hello everyone. The purpose of this post is to bring to your attention a wonderful example of audio-video synchronization. I am one of those community lurkers and leechers that never actually makes any AMVs, but I think I can still reasonably claim that this specific instance of ambient image-sound ...

Caldwell
http://www.usagichan.com/AX99/ax99events3.htm Scroll down for a picture of him. He looks quite a bit older there than he usually did at that point. There are other photos around, with what seem to be more accurate impressions of him at the time, but I forgot where they are or how to find them. I am ...

Hey, some of my stuff was used, some of it word for word (as far as I can remember)! It's ok, as I have in the original thread where I have posted that stuff said that it was public domain. I am glad that my stuff is useful =] I guess I can now claim that I have been cited in a thesis. Well, just if...
