Dreamscope Studios - Perception & Valor
I finally posted up the two latest videos from Dreamscope. I thought I would post them up for anyone who went to Tekkoshocon this year or Zenkaikon, or for anyone who wants to download them. Youtube Preview 182125 Perception. The way one views the world. It's a story of a person who has given up and...

Re: Tekkoshocon IX AMV Contest - FINALISTS & WINNERS
Wow thank you. Tekkoshocon will always be my soft spot. It was the first con that made me believe I could really edit.

Re: Japan Expo International AMV Contest 2011
Does anyone know if the use of profanity is allowed in our music? I looked on the site and didn't see anything....but I'm not sure.

Re: Anime Boston 2010 Rules are up! Now in Hi-Def!
Well...I have sort of a weird question. I would like to submit two of my videos...one however is older and has won two previous awards from last year (Tekkoshocon and NDK), but it was made later than April 8th 2008 so it technically would be alright. I regretted not submitting it last year to Boston...

Re: NDK AMV Finals and Overload
Just had to pop in and say that I was very very impressed with the level of videos this year.
The way the videos were arranged in the categories was also spot on. Definitely kept me entertained the whole time.

Re: Glowing overlays in Vegas
I don't know if it's possible in vegas 6, but in 8, you can change the layer "compositing mode" to "add" and you can get about the same glowing added to your clip by using overlays that way.

Re: Blocks on black?
Radius refers to how big of a surrounding area around each pixel gets included in the smoothing calculations. When radius = 1, only the eight pixels immediately around the target pixel are considered (and, if you're using a 3d mode, one pixel in the previous frame and one in the next frame), and so...

Re: Problems Importing to Sony Vegas
I used Avisource for mine with filters. Maybe MPEG2Source doesn't work with Vegas? Here's my script: AviSource("C:\Documents and Settings\Noelle\Desktop\dreamscope_nankurunaisa.avi") ConvertToYV12() Deen(mode="a2d", rad=4, thrY=7, thrUV=9, min=0.5) VagueDenoiser(threshold=2, method=3, nsteps=6, chro...

Re: Blocks on black?
Well, it's good there was some improvement, but when I said that deen's settings were too high, I meant that using 4 for your radius, especially with high values for the other two, was overkill. I rarely ever go above deen("w3d",3,8,10) as an upper limit, and usually use it somewhere between 2,8,8 ...

Re: Problems Importing to Sony Vegas
OK, I just got done making a fake .avi file for myself. And I had no problems importing it into vegas 8 pro.
