Is there a way to do the shatter effect in premiere?

Is that how you'd also do the transition where it becomes increasingly brighter until it practically white and then goes to the next scene?

Also, how do you do the effect when a couple frames flash in the video for a quick second? A lot of good amvs have this effect, but I can't see how to do it.

I've read through everything there is in that guide about avisynth and have done everything that's supposed to make it work, yet I still get the black screen with the avs file...

I don't quite understand how the avisynth works. Could you give an example of a script. I just wrote one in notepad and what do I do with that?

Ah, never mind. For some reason, converting the original file to a 240 x 180 instead of a 640 x 480 made the quality really bad. It's fine now.

I converted the video with the lagarith codec in eo video, but it's extremely low quality. Will using a different codec like huffyuv or avysyinth or maybe leaving it as an uncompressed file make the quality just as low?
