So I have decided that I need to make the switch to Linux. I know I should be able to run many of the programs I know and love thru WINE... However I am also looking at all the other open source Editing programs out there available to me and wondering if it's even feasible to make an AMV with these ...

In all honesty if you are any kind of decent editor you should be able to "create" this yourself... all you really need is footage of the computer working and the person hitting it... making it work again is all al matter of creatively using the footage you have at your disposal.

OK I know the footage exists I have seen an Anime with a scene that is really remniscent of the mothership scene from close encounters of the 3rd kind movie but I CANNOT for the life of me remember What show it's in and or where I saw it....
