In the timeline bar...there's no red like in my example...but there are both shades of green under the yellow timeline slide-selector and the neon color had not shown up until just recently.

Red bar is for unrendered...dark green bar is for rendered...neon green bar = ? Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much, that worked. One question though, previously I had simply been pressing 'Enter' to preview the changes and I didn't notice the 'X's and red lines....this is not the same as rendering apparently? I just wonder how some of my stuff was rendered when I never right clicked and selecte...

btw, when the "x" appears, it is on top of the video being shown, it does not prevent me from seeing the action

I think I may have royally misinterpreted the guide. I thought Premiere could only edit 24fps video and audio....this isn't the case, is it?? My footage will always be 16:9 29.97fps NTSC footage from these dvds, and I can leave it at that, correct?

I suppose I'll add that for this particular clip I am trying to synch the audio and video to the same chapter in the same DVD...so basically, I'm just looking for an editable copy of this DVD chapter.
