Ideal Encoding Settings for Adobe Encore(DVD Authoring AMVs)

I'm trying to start encoding AMVs onto DVD-Player-compatible DVDs using Adobe Encore, but I'm unsure of what settings are best suited for best quality. I was thinking I would export the video stream from Adobe Premiere as a Microsoft AVI (Is DV AVI something I'd want instead...?), at a framerate of ...

No, changing the slots doesn't do anything either. I hope to god I don't have to buy a whole new sound card...I mean, this thing works great except for this sudden inability to playback DVDs.

Yes, it plays sound. In fact it seems to be running perfectly except for the fact I can't update it or play DVD audio on it (Absolute Destiny suggested updating it, and I think that would fix it, if only I could ;.;).

Sound Blaster Live Issues

It now seems that it is Sound Blaster affecting my DVD issues. Apparently I can't update the sound card because my own funking computer doesn't know I have it installed (when I run the updates/patches at least). It seriously says: "Setup could not detect any Sound blaster Audio card on your system. ...

Huh. It's funny you say that...because I just went and tried updating my sound card, Sound Blaster Live, and am absolutely STUMPED as to what to do next. Because when I run the updates/patches/whatnot, it gives me the following error: "No Sound Blaster soft/hardware detected." ... Definetly have it ...

PowerDVD Playback Problems

Since no one has elected to answer in the Audio Help forum...I ask this forum how to get my DVD-playing program back working. Basically, PowerDVD (as well as other programs) all have choppy video and sound when playing a DVD. CDs work just fine...and I'm 99% sure it's not the actual ROM itself. The ...

I've tried making sure the wires from the DVD-Rom are properly connected...I've tried an additional two more DVD Players...I've tried CDs in the DVD-Rom, all of which WORK...but, still, no DVD will properly play back sound. It's still distorted and somewhat skippy, and oddly enough I've also noticed...

I'm not sure...you see, it played DVDs just fine a while back. It just all of a sudden started having issues, so I don't understand how something Microsoft did would creep up just now after all this time. I have Sound Blaster Live...I checked soundblaster.com, but there didn't seem any part of the s...

PowerDVD Playback Issues

Now, technically, this does not have much to do with AMV-audio directly. But it is something that is very annoying in the process anyways. I have PowerDVD, and I know the program is installed and running great. It's 4.0 for XP. It plays video pretty much just perfectly, but the audio is extremely di...
