Re: Preview video problem on CS5
I tried moving it over with copy and past but it brought over all of the resizing I did. I had to recreate my timeline. Good thing I was only 30 seconds in haha. So much human error on my part. I need to pay more attention. Also, when I export I set to to h.264 @ 720p but I ned up getting black bars...

Re: Preview video problem on CS5
yeah I think that was my issue. I had the sequence set to 720x480 where as the source was 1280x720...time to start over.
Ugh, any way to salvage what I have?

Preview video problem on CS5
When I see my source video I can see the whole picture of what I am editing from. When I take a clip and place it on my sequence the program, for whatever reason, places it on my timeline but has the image zoomed in or something. I have no idea why it is doing this. I had to go back and re-adjust al...

Re: AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
Its 720p so it sits at 1280x720 I think.

Re: AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
I have it converting to utvideo yuv I think it was. Hopefully it works with premiere cs5. I don't think that would matter though since its still avi. Just want the video to not lose its nicee resolution

Re: AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
When I tried converting the file to AVI it was over 350GB and my HD ran out of space...why is the file so much larger? How do editors get around that? Do they pick and choose scenes in Vdub, convert them to avi then throw them onto a timeline? I have never done that before.

Re: AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
Hmmm
I tried: FFmpegSource2("E:\AMV Projects\In for the Kill\Evangelion 2.22 - You Can (Not) Advance [BD][720p,x264,AC3][BC72ACE1].mkv") and Vdub opened it just fine.
Any reason for this? I would like to know rather than just happening to fumble upon the answer heh

Re: AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
I am not too sure on most of the codec as I make an AMV only time to time. I usually have a hard time with the converting and the cleaning process as I don't know the software or my means around them very well. I uninstalled K-lite with its uninstaller and I swapped to CCCP instead. http://i145.phot...

Re: AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
I am currently also using k lite codec pack.
The error in vdub is something along the lines of: avisynth open failure: virtual dub can not open ffvideosource("filename.mkv) because the file type is not supported.
I will try and screen capture it when I get back home. Maybe I should try cccp?

AVIsynth Open Failure + MKV
I used the FFsource show command to try and open an MKV file and run the synth in Vdub. When I try and preview the video with AVSPmod the player gives me the big red lettered warning. When I try and open the file with Vdub it gives me a synth failure warning. I had read the guide a few times but I c...
