Funny thing is, I was bent on voting Conet this year for best collab. But I was disappointed to see it didn't make it to the finals. Gawd, it was one of the more original ideas that came out last year... What the hell people, I mean COME ON... I guess one of the factors that made me like it was watc...

Aside for a few slip-ups here and there, the lipsync is dead-on, gotta hand that to you. However, in all honesty, the scene selection was rather poor; the background, facial expressions and sometimes even clothing change a bit too much for something that was supposed to take place in a single scene....

DVD - this is snapped from the dvd

HD - this is snapped from the HD one.

I'm pretty certain there's no way in hell I could upscale the DVD to the same quality (it's not the resolution itself as it is the image sharpness)

Anyway, thanks for your take on this, especially Trythil's advice :D .

Sorry, no edit button. The resolution should've been 1280 x 720 (720p). Turns out Tekkonkinkreet has a weird resolution (on my DVD it's 720 x 576 ).

Other than BIGASS hard drive requirements are there any other things I should about converting to lossless HuffYUV or simply uncompressing the footage pieces? (This monster is an x264 encoded matroska file.)

A small predicament...

Ok, so let's say I would like to make a TekkonKinkreet AMV. I have the original DVD sitting right here on my desk. So all I have to do is rip the footage and get to work. Right? However, sitting nice and cozy on my hard drive is a high-definition downloaded copy of it. I think you see where I'm gett...
