Re: Oh lawl, a problem with Vista and AvsP
Ay, well, this is actually a Dell laptop with Vista pre-installed on it and I don't have the necessary software to re-install Vista or anything else, so I guess I'm out of luck.

Sony Vegas won't load any lossless AVIs
Or any AVIs for that matter(not that there's much use for an XviD file or anything, but you see my point). If I try to import one, or more specifically, even try to click on one while I'm in "Open" or "Import," Vegas pauses for a second, I get a "Sony Vegas has stopped working" pop-up, and then that...

Re: Oh lawl, a problem with Vista and AvsP
I'm going to go ahead a take a guess that the moral of this story is simple: don't use Vista.

Re: Oh lawl, a problem with Vista and AvsP
Whenever I try to start AvsP. All I get is a Windows error message that tells me that errors have occurred and that I should check the aforementioned log file for details.Zarxrax wrote:When does it happen, when you start avsp, or if you try to view a video preview, or...?

Oh lawl, a problem with Vista and AvsP
So, when I try to use AvsP in Vista, I get an error and a log text that says the following: Traceback (most recent call last): File "run.py", line 5, in <module> File "AvsP.pyo", line 73, in <module> File "pyavs.pyo", line 31, in <module> File "avisynth.pyo", line 4, in <module> File "ctypes\__init_...

I know all about the wacky aspect ratio and the default settings of the DVD NTSC preset; that wasn't the point of my question. My problem lies in the colors and contrast themselves. As for my use of the MPEG-2 format: I was meaning to export in this format to create convenient files that I would be ...

Vegas MPEG-2 render problem
Yeah, so I've been having this problem with Sony Vegas 7.0's MPEG2 encoder. Long story short, when Vegas renders the MPEG2 file, it screws with the saturation and contrast levels for whatever reason. Sony Vegas MPEG2 Problem
Lately I've been rendering a couple of practice DVD MPEG2 files in Sony Vegas from some test AviSynth files(to see if I would be up to the job of re-encoding VOBs), and I've been getting one single problem lately that's been driving me nuts. EVERY SINGLE file I save is has this pesky unneeded letter...
