Some of the audio I have makes weird noises during play in WMM, though not in Media Player, can someone explain and help?

How do you Upload videos in Vegas 6.0?
How do you properly upload videos into Vegas? Everytime I try, it just uploads the audio, and won't let me do anything...

I need to know some good Programs...
Does anyone know any good AMV making programs (preferrably free) that aren't WMM, or Adobe?
I WOULD be content with Windows Movie maker, but it has had some real bugs lately, and constantly shuts down...
..and I try to use Vegas, but I can't upload videos into that... (Any good reccomendations?)
