Re: PSA regarding YouTube channel AnimeUnity
Yes. This is based off the chat log and the original post. Based on the chat, if he could make money off an amv consented by the editor he will, but AMVs in general are not monetized due to copyright. He also said in the chat that money will be made off of other content ie anime reviews, figurine re...

Re: PSA regarding YouTube channel AnimeUnity
Again that is all just a assumption. He could try making the money off an AMV or he won't. Will he take the risk of making money off an AMV? Maybe, maybe not. He was vague about everything in the chat log, regardless of if the editor consented to letting him upload. Maybe like he said in the chat lo...

Re: PSA regarding YouTube channel AnimeUnity
Not necessarily.
Going back to my video that I can't monetize, here's what happens when I go into the monetized tab: http://prntscr.com/9ds9bm
Compare that to another one of my videos that I am currently making money off: http://prntscr.com/9dsa11

Re: PSA regarding YouTube channel AnimeUnity
It amazes me how easy it is in this community to publish a private Skype chat between two people. In every YouTube community I've been a part of, that has been considered really low and people who've attempted to "expose" someone using this method has usually been deemed as someone you can't trust. ...

Re: Aldnoah | Ender's Game Parody Trailer
nice green screen  . The characters assignments were good, the sound effects were great, and the source combo was prefect! Its always nice to see more people editing trailers :D I would have liked to see a character assigned to the old man in the beginning, and I think that showing the side ch...

So I finally made something! I think it's my first parody trailer using an audio from an actual trailer and it was pretty fun to make!

Re: Monetize AMV
You can profit from an AMV. Just get the written ok from whoever owns the rights of the anime in Japan as well as the artist of the song you are using. Good luck with that. Most likely not. I lost my old YouTube AMV channel years ago due to copyright infringement. :( US distributors like Viz and FU...

Also because you'll most likely post it on YouTube, Google will want a cut of whatever money you make from the ads. The anime r...

Re: Anime Los Angeles 2015 - Finalists Announced!!!
Just got home from LA. I haven't been to ALA since 2010 and I just wanna say the AMV contest was a big leap since then.
Yuusharo, you did an awesome job with the contest! I really enjoyed all the entries and just the overall presentation of the AMVs. Good luck to all the finalists!
