Fantastic. Thanks, Kionen. I'll try to get in there tonight at 6 EST (provided no mIRC meltdowns), otherwise, I'll lurk along on Thursday, same bat time, same bat channel. As a fore-warning, one of my biggest problems is file size. It's 5 minutes and widescreen DVD so it's big. I've resized it, comp...

I'm tagging on here, as I'm not sure this is worth a whole new post (but I am curious). What would be the best way to find a beta? A post in the opinions forum? Lurk in the #amv-review chat? Bribe someone with virtual cookies? I recall reading something about the Opinions Forum being used for beta-i...

Not a problem at all! Now that I understand things better, I could have done this project keeping all my widescreen glory but I'm not going back, no way, no how. I'll take what I've got and be happy about it because, oof, what a long, hard haul. But hot damn, it feels good to finally nail this. This...

It was originally a vob from a 16:9 DVD. I used this guide to make it 4:3 yet still remain at DVD resolution: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtechbeta/aspectratios2.html Making all the Sources 4:3 In order to make all the sources 4:3 you will need to resize your 16:9 footage to have the sam...

quote]And that doesn't just result in an extremely stretched and cropped video? [/quote] It didn't result in a stretched video because the settings for my premiere project were (720X480) 4:3. (Remember, I came at this bass-ackwards.) I've never done it this way, so i don't know. But, i'd be afraid t...

Hmm. I'm going back through the guides again, and that may have been the wrong use of terminology on my end. Looking back on it, I realized I did this: LanczosResize(960,480) Crop(120,0,-120,0) Which makes it 4:3 DAR but leaves it at 0.9PAR. I was editing at 0.9 PAR in my project settings. And I exp...

Not feeling so adventurous at the moment. ;) I'm still fretting over my aspect ratio. I came into this site through the backway, so I'm trying to fix a video I had already started. Not good. I went back and resized/cropped the initial DVD rip to 720X480, which should make the pixel ratio = 1 (?), bu...

An opening title scene
This isn't a very complicated special effect question, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. I want to do some nice simple blurbs leading up the video. Short and sweet. Maybe three, separate lines of text on a blank background. Thing is, I've always sucked at fonts. So I guess I'm asking for a lit...
