The anime is horrible on multiple levels, thou. The English Dub is laughably bad. If you have a strong tradition of MST3K riffing, you might survive. But the entire concept is a kid who cooks food to fight like Pokemans.

Mike Tyson from NES Punch Out, and there is also Mr. Sandman from Wii PunchOut.

And almost any given Robot Master from the Mega Man series.

Love those games, and are classics.
