I will consider taking part for a few rounds. Depends on whether my self-confidence gets better, but hey, I guess its okay for me to try stuff and fail.

It seems the link to "(a-m-v.org's) standards of uploading" doesn't work correctly, or at least not for me. How would i find the standards of uploading from the homepage or is there another way i could find a guideline for submitting AMV's to the contest?

I'm not sure why the link isn't working for you, and so I decided to make a document that outlines the important rules and guidelines. You can view it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ppq ... sp=sharing

I'm also posting them here:
Spoiler :
AnimeMusicVideos.org
Standards of Uploading
What you may upload

You are only allowed to upload music videos that are entirely or mostly created using:

Japanese Animation. As in animation produced in Japan generally for a Japanese market. NOT western animation that looks-kinda-like-anime.
Japanese Videogame Cutscenes. Final Fantasy and the like.
Anime-inspired stills or animation created by you. However, we reserve the right to declare any 'original animation' entry as unsuitable for the site if it is not in the spirit of anime music videos or the amv community.

What you should NOT upload

Non-anime videos, It's already been said but it's worth saying again that videos using a source we class as non-anime are not allowed. This includes...
Live action videos. May seem obvious but no videos where the footage isn't animated.
Pornographic videos. Videos explicitly depicting sexual acts are totally forbidden. Nudity is permitted provided it either has an artistic function in the video or is not depicted in an overtly erotic context.
Project files from editing programs.
Videos you did not make. Please do not upload other people's music videos.
Videos using someone else's editing. All the editing work in the video must be your own - any footage edited by another music video creator must only be used with their consent and with full credit given to their work.
Videos that make personal attacks on other members of the site. Personal attacks on other members are forbidden.

Note: For the purpose of Project Org Editor 2015, this is a condensed version of the “standards of uploading”. The full version also includes a file limit of 150M, but this rule will not be strictly enforced. But it is still highly recommended that participants use either Zarx264gui or AMVsimple to encode their videos in order to keep them a reasonable size.
