Minor VLC Media Player Annoyance

Ok, when I try and do some work at work, school, or at home, I usually have a playlist of AMV's playing, while I listen with headphones. Unfortunetely, it's a huge hassle to have to resize the VLC Player when different sizes of videos keep popping up (watching Skittles while working is simply impossible). So, what I am asking is this:

* Is there any way to make VLC Media Player's Main Window stay the same size, without having to resize it. I know that WMP has a way to do it, and I've looked in the prefrences without any luck.

Settings->Preferences->Video->Window Properties->Video Width/Height
