Video players/converters on my pc play video as black ;_;
VLC seems to be the only program now that will properly play video files. Others (WMP, Winamp, and various web players)will play audio but the video is just black with occasional filckers of blue or red patterns.
This wouldn't be a problem but my DVD ripping/converting programs are also affected. I will rip a DVD with DVD decryptor, and it will look fine in VLC. But when I open it in DVD2AVI to prep it for Avisynth and Virtualdub, it is all black. I still converted anyways, and the final output of virtualdub looked like it had a blue sepia over the video (?)

The question wasn't asked with the assumption that they would help things. Codec packs (especially k-lite) are often horribly thrown together pieces of trash that do more harm than good. Many are filled with malware of all kinds, conflicting codecs, and a general glut of incompatible, obsolete, or otherwise useless pieces of software that are woefully out of date.CapnFoo wrote:Yes I tried the KLite codec pack, didn't fix anything
