HAHHAHA, I just put my mouse over 'em and they seem to go away. or you could like right click 'em and see if there is an exit option

There is an option somewhere within FFDShow (probably the start menu) where you can disable the tray icon. Hit that and you should be good to go. You may also need to do the same for the audio tray icon, also found in roughly the same place

Uninstall ffdshow, it's evil. :(

And just download xvid and divx, and whatever other codec you need on its own. I found ffdshow to be more trouble than it's worth...
