amv app problems

im not sure which forem to post this in, but, here it is.

i have a new computer windows vista hp pavillion dv9000 with 240 gb hard drives
i tried installing the amv app but the avisynth test and other tests all failed. my video editing software, sony vegas 4 wont import anything avi either. this screws up my whole amv making process. does any one know where i should start?

The tests dont work on vista.
I'm not sure about vegas...

well I installed a newer version of avisynth. Version 2.5. That solved my importing to vdubmod problem. Then I got vegas pro 8.0 and that solved my avi import issue. Thanks.

what codec are you using in the avi container?
