lines in the video after I convert

Post by moonbunnychan » Sun Sep 28, 2008 12:20 am

So I'm fairly baffled by this, and hoping you guys with much more experience then me can shed some light on it.

My video comes out of premiere just fine, perfect quality and all that. But whenever I try to convert it to anything...mpeg, divx, xvid, anything, the file will come out kind of covered in lines. It's mostly noticeable if I full screen it.

Nevermind I figured out that interlacing is my problem, though fixing that's opened up a whole new can of worms.

first thing to check is usually your project settings, if you're editing with progressive footage (which you should be, much less painful that way) you need to make sure that your project isn't set to be working with interlaced footage.

next, most people export with huffyuv or lagarith (or uncompressed)
yes it is huge, but if you Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides (and follow it) it'l turn out alright in the end.

if that's not your problem would you mind elaborating?
